Boston Muslim Cemetery is located at 530 Lowell St, Peabody, MA 01960. The cemetery spans approximately 1.2 acres and serves as a dignified resting place for our community. With more than 820 interments, we remain committed to maintaining the grounds with care and to upholding a culture of service, compassion, and generosity.

Our Purpose

To evoke memory of death and remind the living that this world is not our home — the starting point for every Muslim.

Our Mission

Provide an exclusive burial place for the Muslim community in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah, protecting and sustaining the cemetery for generations.

Policies

Cemetery Rules & Policies

Access to the cemetery grounds is limited to service vehicles only.

Please do not place mulch, stones, or border materials around the grave marker.

Temporary markers are installed at the time of burial and will not be replaced if damaged.

The cemetery reserves the right to remove dead plants and flowers.

Digging and planting are not permitted.

Candles with an open flame are not permitted

All decorations, planters, and potted plants must be placed only in front of the grave marker and may not exceed 15 inches in height. A maximum of four (4) items is permitted.

All visitors must always conduct themselves in an appropriate and respectful manner. Alcoholic beverages and recreational drugs are strictly prohibited on cemetery grounds

Only flush granite markers are permitted. Upright monuments and foundations are not allowed. Markers must measure 24” x 12” x 4” and must be installed by a cemetery-approved company. Markers that do not meet these requirements, or that are not installed by a cemetery-approved company, will be removed.

The display and placement of the American flag on graves, in remembrance of our veterans, must comply with applicable Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) and U.S. Department of Defense flag etiquette.
